Lemur & Tamarin Family Keeper for the Morning Experience for 2, 4 or 6 people:

Timings: 8:30am - 1pm (approx) daily

Whack on your Wellies and join our Keepers as you go behind the scenes and become a Keeper for the Day.  Prepare to get mucky and get a taster of what being an Lemur and Tamarin Keeper here at Safari Zoo entails – make no mistake of it, this is a strenuous experience, you will sleep well tonight!

The content of the experience will vary as it is down to what the keepers need to do on your chosen day but will include a selection of elements from the following activities; Preparing animal food, Feeding animals, Helping with animal healthchecks, Mucking out animal enclosures and houses, Scrubbing and refilling water bowls, Cleaning walls/doors, Replenishing the Animal Beds, Making enrichment items, Raking sand in the enclosures, Pooh Picking.

The Lemur & Tamarin Keeper for the Morning is a private experience for your chosen group size, which runs each day of the year except Christmas day and Boxing Day. Please do note that only one Africa Keeper for the Morning Experience can be booked each day. As a Lemur & Tamarin Section Keeper you will be working alongside our friendly and knowledgeable  Lemur & Tamarin keepers, looking after Ring Tailed, Black & White Ruffed and Red Ruffed Lemurs. The experience is suitable for all ages. At least one member of the party MUST be aged 18 or over.
Keeper for the Day Terms & Conditions:
  • Keeper for the Day Experiences run daily, only one Keeper for the Day can run on any given day.
  • If you are purchasing as a gift and do not know when the recipient will be able to visit please choose the "Undated" option so they can choose their only date.  A supplement is payable for undated experiences - this is shown prior to checkout.
  • Purchases are non-refundable
  • Experiences purchased in the 50% off offer are valid for use between 1st January 2024 and 30th June 2024
  • Please note that some enclosures are accessed via steps and/or have uneven surfaces, please contact us ahead of purchasing to discuss any access needs.

  • Once booked either when choosing the date at checkout or via the above email address, amendments to Keeper for the Day bookings will be subject to a £75 administration fee per place for bookings due to take place more than one month in advance, a £95 administration fee per place will be payable for changes to bookings due to take 30 - 7 days in advance. For changes to bookings due to take place within 7 days, a £125 administration fee will be payable.
