Sumatran Tiger Experience for 4: 2024 RRP £340
We'll be heading off to the Kitchen to prepare their vet-approved nutritious snacks, then were off to the Tiger House to see where they live. You'll get to understand how our procedures and routines allow us to operate in a safe way whilst maintaining the highest standards of care and welfare for these beautiful, critically endangered Tigers. Then we're off to the feeding area for a hand feeding session!
There is a maximum of 4 visitors allowed into the house and feeding areas at any one time for health and safety reasons. Please contact us if you would like to visit in a group larger than 4 to discuss the options available to you.
The Sumatran Tiger Encounter is suitable for Tiger-lovers aged 7 and above, all under 16s must be accompanied by an adult who has also purchased an equivalent encounter voucher.
You will need to arrive no later than 30 minutes prior to the scheduled start time of your encounter.
Family Encounters Ts & Cs
The Family Encounter Specials are valid for the date chosen at the point of checkout only. It may be possible to transfer your encounter to another date, it is not possible to change the time of your encounter. Please be aware any changes are strictly subject to availability and amendments will be subject to a £50 administration fee for changes to bookings due to take place more than 7 days in advance. For changes to bookings due to take place within 7 days, a £75 administration fee will be payable. Each purchase entitles a group of up to 4 people to take part in the chosen encounter at the chosen date and time, the group must participate in the encounter at the same time on your chosen date and time. The package cannot be split for any reason. All participants under the age of 16 years of age must be accompanied by a participating, paying, supervising, responsible adult (over the age of 18 years) throughout their Encounter with the exception of Junior Keepers (Junior Keeper Shadowing). There may be up to 8 people on each encounter, which means you may be sharing the encounter with other families.
Participants must follow the direction and instruction of the keeper throughout, our keepers will not hesitate to stop the encounter at any point if participants are not following direction.
You must report to the Main Entrance Desk of the Zoo (postcode LA12 0LU) at least 30 minutes ahead of your pre-booked time so you can be at the venue on time.
Your experience includes admission for the day of your experience. In the event that you arrive late, we reserve the right to cancel your Encounter without rescheduling or issuing a refund. In the event that you fail to arrive without prior notification (a minimum of 24 hours) in writing, we reserve the right to cancel your Encounter without rescheduling or issuing a refund.
At the time of booking you are asked to declare any special needs, special access requirements, additional support, allergies, mobility restrictions or medical conditions which we need to be aware of. Prior to undertaking the Encounter, you will be asked to complete a health declaration and disclaimer form so that we can assess whether it is safe for you to take part. In the event that we do not deem that it is safe for you to take part in the Encounter we will offer an alternative where possible. Please speak to us prior to purchasing if anyone taking part has additional requirements including a disability, pregnancy, diet or immuno suppression which may require changes or variations to an Encounter.
